Voices Heard

On Sunday, November 1st, two days before the presidential election between candidates Donald J. Trump and former vice president Joseph R. Biden, Oakland University students gathered around Hamlin Circle at the university's Rochester campus on a bitter and cold day for a peace march in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Hosted by Jai Carrero, president of Black Lives Matter Oakland University, Sean King, president of the Association of Black Students, and Ethan Bradley, president of Oakland University Student Congress, the peace march focused on the themes of turning out to vote, mental health, and supporting black lives.
