Systemic racism (also called institutional racism) is a form of racism so deeply set in our society that it is viewed as 'normal' to those it does not oppress. This creates a normalization of harmful behaviors that leads to discrimination and inequality in employment, housing, criminal justice, education, and as we will be discussing today, health.
